Safety

At Class Act Expos, we are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for all attendees, exhibitors, and staff. Our Zero Tolerance Policy against violence and sexual harassment is a reflection of this commitment. Any incidents of violence or sexual harassment must be reported immediately to the security office or guard, and we will respond promptly. We do not expect anyone to physically confront a violent individual, but we do encourage everyone to exercise reasonable judgment in identifying potentially dangerous situations. Threats, aggression, and sexual harassment will not be tolerated, and any such behavior will result in swift corrective action, up to and including immediate discharge from the show and facility.

Cosplay

Class Act Expos prides itself on being an inclusive environment that embraces cosplayers from diverse backgrounds and body types. To ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience for all attendees, it is important to adhere to the following guidelines when selecting and wearing costumes at Class Act Expos events.

Firstly, it is crucial to note that the absence of clothing or a costume itself does not qualify as a costume. Nudity is strictly prohibited at all Class Act Expos events. Therefore, all individuals wearing costumes are required to have opaque fabric that provides complete coverage of their breasts, genitals, and buttocks. It is important to refrain from wearing opaque bodysuits that simulate nudity, as they are not permitted. In the event that a costume is deemed excessively revealing by the sole judgment of Class Act Expos, the individual wearing it will be kindly asked to leave the event.

Furthermore, costumes must not incorporate words or images that are racist, obscene, or derogatory. This includes explicit references such as Ahegao, as well as symbols associated with hate groups like Swastikas or other Nazi imagery, KKK hoods, or any other paraphernalia that promotes discrimination or hatred.

It is important to note that any costumes that are inherently racist, obscene, or derogatory, as determined by the organizers, will not be allowed at Class Act Expos events. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all attendees, and such costumes are not in line with our values.

Lastly, it is important to understand that Class Act Expos reserves the right to reject any costume at any time and for any reason. This is to maintain the integrity of our events and ensure that they align with our inclusive and respectful atmosphere.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can collectively create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and able to fully enjoy the Class Act Expos experience.

Props

Firearms and other projectile weapons are strictly prohibited at all CLASS ACT EXPOS events. This includes live firearms such as airsoft, modern, hunting, or historic guns, whether they are operational or not. Additionally, replica firearms made from metal, solid resin, plastic, or rubber are not allowed on the convention grounds.

For the safety of everyone present, all other firearms or projectile weapons must have orange safety tips at all times while on the convention grounds. However, these tips can be removed temporarily for photography or competition purposes, as long as they are promptly re-attached when moving around the convention.

Props or weapons capable of firing any type of projectile or powder charge are strictly forbidden. This rule is in place to ensure the safety of both attendees and those around them. However, Nerf guns and other foam dart guns are permitted as long as they are not loaded with foam darts at any time.

Bows and slingshots are allowed at the event, but they must be de-strung and incapable of firing any objects. The use of arrows or any other items in bows or slingshots is strictly prohibited.

Laser pointers are not permitted on the convention grounds. If you have a laser pointer as part of your prop or weapon, please ensure that it cannot function by either removing the batteries or simply not bringing it.

If any firearm or projectile props or weapons are deemed unacceptable by CLASS ACT EXPOS security, attendees will be required to check them with security while on the convention grounds. Failure to comply with this request will result in being banned from the event without a refund, and local authorities may be contacted.

CLASS ACT EXPOS emphasizes that the presence of metal swords, metal knives, and other active martial arts weapons is strictly prohibited within the convention premises. Non-compliance with this regulation will lead to immediate expulsion from the event, without the possibility of a refund, and the involvement of local authorities will be sought.

It is important to note that CLASS ACT EXPOS cannot be held legally accountable for any misconduct, damages, injuries, or fatalities resulting from the actions of any attendee. However, the convention organizers, in conjunction with local authorities, will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior or misconduct exhibited by any attendee.

We kindly request all attendees to exercise their best judgment and discretion by refraining from engaging in activities such as swinging weapons or using them in an intimidating or threatening manner. By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Please ensure that you wear your badges or wristband pass visibly throughout your visit. In the case of a multi-day attendance, it is essential to keep your badge and/or wristband pass on your person for the entire duration. Kindly note that tickets are non-refundable.

If you have any inquiries or specific concerns regarding the proper wearing of your badge and/or wristband pass, we encourage you to visit our Customer Service Desk located in the Ticketing Hall at the event.
